The Annual Parish Meeting will take place at 6.30pm on Monday 11 May in the Village Hall, followed by the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council, starting at 7.30 pm Both meetings are open to all residents. Please come along to the meetings to gain a better understanding of what has happened in the Parish and to express your views on what you would like to see happen for the future.
The Big Parish Spring Clean
The Parish Council is organising a Big Parish Clean which will take place on Saturday morning 9 May. It would be great to see residents in the 2 villages of Carlton Scroop and Normanton on Cliffe turn out for a few hours to spruce up our Parish ready for the summer months. Please meet at the Village Hall at 10.00am. Refreshments will be available at the Village Hall afterwards from midday. We hope to see many of you there.
Parish Council Vacancy
The Parish Council has a vacancy for a co-opted member until May 2027, when the normal parish council elections will take place. Those wishing to apply for the position should email the Clerk at clerk@carltonscroopnormanton-pc.gov.uk to request an application form. The deadline for applications is the 30th of April with the decision being made on the 11th of May at the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council. Village Hall & Social Club
Please visit the extensive book library at the Village Hall – open most Saturdays from 11.00am
The Village Hall at Carlton Scroop is available for hire by individuals or groups. Please contact carltonscroopvillagehall@gmail.com if you want to hire the Hall.
The cosy Social Club in the Village Hall is open on a Friday 7.30 pm to 10.30 pm – all welcome.
Look out for Bingo and Quiz dates on a Saturday evening in the Social Club.
